Postal Enrolments

The conditions of enrolment listed below apply to all enrolments, regardless of whether they have been made by post or in person.
  1. An Enrolment may be effected by a friend or relative provided it is with the full knowledge and consent of the one enrolled. Places in class are non transferrable unless with the permission of the Director.
  2. Formation of Classes: Classes are only formed when numbers warrant it.
  3. Discipline: The student, on enrolment, subscribes to the regulations and is then bound to observe them. The Centre reserves the right to suspend students from classes and premises as deemed appropriate.
  4. Student Property: School authorities regret that responsibility cannot be accepted for loss or damage to the property of students. This includes motor cars, motor cycles and bicycles on the campus.
  5. Transfers may only be negotiated through the Enrolment Centre and must be requested before the third week of term. All transfers are subject to a handling charge except in the case of closed classes or moves to a different level in the same subject.
  6. The Director reserves the right to close a class or vary the hour at any time for any reason which seems appropriate to him.
  7. Smoking is prohibited by law in any part of the Centre.
  8. Refreshments: All classes lasting two hours or more are timetabled for a tea-break. Classes shorter than this are also welcome to a break but are not so timetabled and are negotiable with the teacher.
  9. Important. Please make sure  that the course in which you are enrolling is suitable to your needs as course fees are not refundable except when a course fails to form.

Upon receipt of a postal application together with the correct fee, a class admission card will be issued. This admission card may be taken as verification of Newpark's acceptance of your application. If we are unable to accommodate you in your chosen course, we will contact you by telephone (if any) or by post to ascertain whether a full refund is required or if another course if preferred.
  • Only FULL fees ( as listed in the current brochure or on this website) can be accepted with postal enrolments.
  • If you qualify for a discount (see brochure) the appropriate amount will be refunded when you call in person at the Enrolment Centre on the first night of term. Please bring your admission card(s) and appropriate evidence if senior citizen or unemployed.
  • All postal applications will be dealt with on a strict rota basis.
  • Postal applications received earlier than the date on which the office re-opens for new term enquiries (see brochure) cannot be processed until after that time.
Crossed cheque(s)/postal order(s)/ visa/laser card numbers should be sent with completed application(s) to Newpark Adult Education Centre, Newtownpark Avenue, Blackrock, Co. Dublin.
